Engagement	AS with Great Progress Student always stays focused on the assignment and always tries his/her best. Student works at improving skills and understanding of subject matter.	Approaching Standards Active attempt is made to achieve the minimum requirements.<BR> Student gives assignment some of his/her attention.<BR> Student sometimes tries his/her best.	AS with Minimal Progress Student gives very little attention to the assignment and focuses on socializing.<BR> Student does not try his/her best.	Below Standards Student does not attempt the assignment. Student does not try his/her best.
Attitude	AS with Great Progress Student is always positive, engaged, enthusiastic and active during the assignment. Student encourages classmates as they work.	Approaching Standards Student is sometimes positive, engaged, enthusiastic and active during the assignment.	AS with Minimal Progress Student occationally makes negative remarks about the assignment and/or about classmate's work.	Below Standards Student attempts to disengage from assignment and also draws other students into disengagement.<BR> Student is always negative.
knowledge	AS with Great Progress Student shows great improvement in their knowledge of the class topic and is always learning new information.	Approaching Standards Student shows some improvement in their knowledge of the class topic taught during health class.	AS with Minimal Progress Student puts little effort into improving their knowledge of topic taught in health class.	Below Standards Student does not learn and apply new knowledge of the topic taught in health class.

Student is usually respectful towards classmates and/or teacher. Materials and supplies are usually handled properly.	AS with Minimal Progress Student sometimes listens to the instructor, often disrupts class and needs a reminder to get on task. Student is sometimes disrespectful to teacher and classmates. Materials and supplies are not handled properly.	Below Standards Student rarely listens to the instructor, disrupts class and is not involved with the class activity.
