Pitch Accuracy	Excellent Confidently performs all pitches correctly.	Good Most of the pitches are performed correctly with a few errors that do not interrupt the flow of the piece.	Fair There are a fair number of pitch errors, but the flow of the piece is only minimally interrupted.	Poor Most pitches are played incorrectly and musical flow is stunted as result.
Rhythmic Accuracy	Excellent Confidently performs all rhythms correctly.	Good Most of the rhythms are performed correctly, with a few errors that do not interrupt the flow of the piece.	Fair Some basic rhythms are performed correctly; however, there are challenges with some rhythms in specific measures.	Poor Most of the rhythms are performed incorrectly.
Style	Excellent The performance is executed with appropriate style and interpretation.	Good Most of the piece is performed using appropriate style and interpretation.	Fair Some parts of the piece are performed using both style and interpretation.	Poor The style and interpretation of the piece is not executed during performance.
Musicianship	Excellent Student performs the piece with appropriate dynamics, phrasings, and articulation.	Good Most of the dynamics are followed, and most of the articulation signs are observed. Most phrases are performed correctly.	Fair Some dynamics are observed. Some articulation is performed. Some phrases are complete and musically accurate.	Poor No dynamics. No use of articulation. Most phrases are performed incorrectly.
