How-To Video Project

Students will create a 1-5 minute Step by Step Demo Video using an iPad. They must demonstrate content knowledge and teach the steps in the proper sequential order. Assignment Requirements: 1. Length of video: one to five minutes 2. Step by Step process to teach one technique from NR class. 3. Incorporate NR terminology throughout the video. 4. Finished video uploaded to Dropbox for review. 5. All students cooperate and contribute to video.

Time Management Group displays effective use of classroom time.	Excellent Routinely uses time well throughout the project to ensure things get done on time. Student does not have to adjust deadlines or work responsibilities because of procrastination.	Proficient Tends to procrastinate, but always gets things done by the deadlines. Student does not have to adjust deadlines or work responsibilities because of procrastination.	Insufficient Rarely gets things done by the deadlines AND group has to adjust deadlines or work responsibilities because of the Student's inadequate time management.
Grammar Proper English skills exhibited - verbal and written.	Excellent Terminolgy, clarity, style and development.	Proficient Grammar and usage were typically correct but errors detracted from story.	Insufficient Repeated errors in grammar and usage distracted greatly from the story.
Point of View - Purpose Does the video accurately represent the correct cooking technique?	Excellent Establishes a technique early on and maintains a clear focus throughout.	Proficient There are a few lapses in focus, but the technique is fairly clear.	Insufficient It is difficult to figure out the technique of the presentation.
