Accuracy Students drawing should include at least 2 circles, 1 triangle, 4 rectangles, and 3 squares.	Emerging Students pay no attention to the number of each shape that should be included in their drawing and may not include any shapes at all.	Developing Students accuracy of number of shapes in drawing is inconsistent (ie. does not include all shapes)	Proficent Students includes all shapes required in their drawing	Exemplary Students use more than required shapes to create a more detailed picture.
Structure Picture includes shapes, and depicts a real life picture such as a person, a park, an animal, etc.	Emerging Student did not include any shapes on their drawing.	Developing Students drawing accurately depicts shapes on a page but lacks the creativeness to design a real life picture.	Proficent Students drawing represents a real life picture using required shapes.	Exemplary Students drawing represents a real life picture with details using all the shapes required and beyond.
Communication Students describe their picture and the shapes they used to class during presentation time.	Emerging Student could not identify any shape in their drawing.	Developing Students could identify some shapes in their drawing but lack knowledge on attributes of the shapes.	Proficent Students accurately identify all shapes in their drawing and could identify different attributes about the shapes.	Exemplary Students could accurately identify all shapes in their drawing and explain reasoning behind shape placement and describe different attributes about all their shapes.
