Students will create a drawing using different values. Subject matter should have 9 value changes.

Craftsmanship with value changes.	Level 1 *The student did not try to use value change.	Level 2 The student attempted to use value, but most of the drawing was gray.<BR> The blending was not smooth and only a couple value changes were present.	Level 3 There are 3 different values present in the drawing. <BR> The blending is choppy and could have been smoothed out.	Level 4 At least 5 value changes are present and the drawing did a great job expressing the extreme white and very dark areas.<BR> The blending is pretty smooth, but still has some stripes visible.	Level 5 The student did an excellent job using all 9 value changes and making certain the light and darks were really evident.<BR> The blending was outstanding.
Effort	Level 1 *The student did not finish the work.	Level 2 *The student did not finish the work in a satisfactory manner.	Level 3 *The student finished the project but it lacked finished touches. The project could be improved upon with little effort.	Level 4 *The student completed the project in an above average manner, yet more could have been done.	Level 5 *The student gave an effort far beyond the requirements of the project.

Level 3 Value change within most shapes is basic. <BR> Missing contrast in some of the shapes.	Level 4 Each shape has individual consideration to the value change.<BR> Contrast from light to dark was considered within each shape.	Level 5 Each shape has individual consideration to the value change.<BR> Great contrast from light to dark within each shape.
