Overall Appearance

Novice

Piece doesn't resemble a Greek Amphora at all. It is messy and not visually appealing, it is uneven or looks disproportional. Piece had to be mended.
Explain WHY?
Partially Proficient

Piece could have been presented better, it has some elements missing or looks rushed. It doesn't have a symmetrical appearance, The foot ring and the body are disproportional and handles could be missing.
Proficient

Greek vessel is pleasing to view but could be refined, either in design, surface decoration, craftsmanship or in other ways. I could have done a better job. Not my best work.
Advanced

I used all of my time to make sure this piece is as aesthetically pleasing as possible, while being functional. It is proportional and nothing had to be added. It looks complete in every way, including glazes.
Size and Criteria

Novice

Vessel is not uniform as a set. The pieces are of different sizes and forms. Vessel doesn't have a foot or handles. It is not 5" tall It is not 4"wide. It does not have any surface design or very little.
Partially Proficient

Vessel are somewhat the size as listed in the criteria . I could have added many more features. It is somewhat meeting criteria, but is still to large or small. No red or black slip is used.
Proficient

Greek vessel is mostly complete and has both black and red slip with multiple designs that resemble the Greek design.
It is a bit taller or a bit smaller, but mostly looks complete.
Advanced

This vessel could pass for an authentic Greek Amphora ! It has red and black slip with designs added appropriately. It is has the correct sizes, (5" x4")proportions, excellent handles and a multi layered footring with excellent details.
Design/creativity

Novice

Minimal use of design is used. It looks incomplete.
There is not enough surface decoration. I didn't use my design at all.
Partially Proficient

Pieces incorporate some use of design. I could have added more and it lacks creativity. I stayed consistent with my sketch.
Proficient

Pieces incorporate understanding of the elements of art and principles of design, I stayed true to my sketch and added creative surface design and handles that work well. I could have added more.
