Correct notes and chords	Clear Excellence Piece is played with very few mistakes in notes, and effort is show in interpreting the notation or chords to make it musical.	Satisfactory Most notes or chords are played correctly, and student illustrates effort in being able to play the correct notes or chords.	Good Many notes or chords are played incorrectly, and student illustrates very little effort in being able to play the assessment piece.	Needs Improvement Most notes are played incorrectly, or student does not attempt to play notes or chords for assessment piece.
Notation reading	Clear Excellence Student reads all notes and chords clearly, and illustrate tremendous progress with reading music at more difficult levels and complex rhythms.	Satisfactory Student reads most notes and chords and illustrates progress in reading music.	Good Student is able to read some notes or chords, but show little effort in progressing the music reading.	Needs Improvement Student struggles with being able to read and show little effort in trying in progressing
Rhythm and Tempo	Clear Excellence Students plays all rhythms accurately. Students plays the piece at perfect and even tempo	Satisfactory Pulse is fairly steady but there are frequent or repeated small rhythmic errors.	Good Steady pulse with few rhythmic errors	Needs Improvement Pulse is unstable with major rhythmic errors.
Technique	Clear Excellence Student demonstrates excellent technique, and has master the piece.	Satisfactory Student plays the instrument correctly and focus on using the correct posture and fingering and illustrates progress towards a conscious awareness of technique.	Good Student is able to produce sound with fingers on the fret but uses incorrect fingering and postures	Needs Improvement Student uses wrong fingerlings, incorrect postures and is barely able to play through the piece..
