Mystery Ingredient Cooking Final

You will be given ingredients to compile an edible creation in a 95 minute block lab. You must use at least some of each ingredient in your final product. 10 minutes into the lab you will be given a surprise ingredient.

	Poor 5 pts	Fair 12 pts	Good 15 pts
Creativity How creative was your end product?	Poor Plain, didn't try to explore their possibilities.	Fair Spent little time. It was good but nothing special.	Good It's very unique and different. Put thought and time into it.
Taste How did the final product taste?	Poor Not edible- needs work!	Fair Average- it was ok but could have been better.	Good Great flavor- perfectly cooked.
Showmanship Shows creativity on presentation of product	Poor Put together quick and sloppy.	Fair Should have spent more time on this aspect.	Good Plated great- decorated nicely
Cleaniliness	Poor Student did not wash hand before and after nor did he or she wash all dishes after presentation. Student also cleaned up work station after use.	Fair Student performed two of the three required items from column 1	Good Student wash hands before and after the presentation and also washed all required dishes and counter space.
Safety	Poor Student wandered and was not on task endangering himself or herself or others.	Fair Students stayed in assigned areas and followed some of the safety procedures that were created at the beginning of the year.	Good All safety procedures were followed in the kitchen
