Book is VERY WELL MADE- corrrectly made: spine sewn neatly with correctly placed/equally spaced holes, pages folded equally, apears well cared for.
Fair

Book is together, but not carefully made: spine sewing is sloppy, holes are not centered or are not equally placed, pages are folded unevenly, apears student was ambivilant the book.
Poor

Book is falling apart or is not put together correctly: spine either not sewn or sewn very unevenly, pages ripped, dirty, or very uneven, student could not have cared less for the book.
Content

Good

Includes all 7 elements. Page titles are carefully and thoughtfully written in the element. Definitions of each element are correct, and clearly handwritten or typed. Each element has two examples with at least 5 hand created examples in the book.
Fair

Includes all 7 elements. Page titles are mostly written in the element. Definitions are present for each element. Each element has two examples. Lacks at least 5 handmade examples, OR lacks two examples for each element.
Poor

Book is missing elements, OR definitions are missing, incorrect, or illegible; OR less than two examples per element OR less than 5 hand made example in the book.

Book shows thought and time in terms of creativity and effort spent on the construction and content.

Project was completed respectfully, quietly, and without a negative attitude. Materials were respected. Student worked consistantly for more than 3/4 of every class.
Fair

Project was completed, but with occasional disruptions, negative attitude or comments, or disrespect towards materials or the teacher; OR student worked for about 3/4 of the class time each day.
Poor

Project was not completed, OR was completed but with many disruptions, negative attitude and comments; OR student was disrespectful of materials, the teacher, or other students; OR student worked for less than 1/2 of each class.
