Literary Devices Literary Devices Students can demonstrate comprehension of literary devices by making a foldable. Students can demonstrate application of literary devices by analyzing devices in a song. Foldable Make a foldable for all 12 words. You should have the term, definition and an example for each term. Must be colored.	Poor Foldable has 3-4 literary terms with definition and examples.	Fair Foldable has 5-6 literary terms with definition and examples.	Good Foldable has 6-10 literary terms with definition and examples.	Exemplar Foldable has 12 literary terms with definition and examples.
Analyze Phrases Read the phrases and match the appropriate device.	Poor 2 terms are matched with the correct phrases.	Fair 3-4 terms are matched with the correct phrases.	Good 5-6 terms are matched with the correct phrases.	Exemplar 7 terms are matched with the correct phrases.
Find Examples Find literary devices in song lyrics. Both the device and the line it is used in must be written.	Poor Lyrics written and 1-2 device found.	Fair Lyrics written and 3-4 devices found.	Good Lyrics written and 5-6 devices found.	Exemplar Lyrics written and 7-8 devices found.
