Student can echo basic sol/mi/la patterns and ALWAYS match pitch without question.

Student DOES NOT sing or focus on reading sol/mi/la patterns and DOES NOT show any indication of understanding the concept of pitch in print.

Student OCCASIONALLY sings and follows written sol/mi/la patterns demonstrating a very basic understanding of the concept of pitch in print.
Proficient (P)

Student can sing and follow written sol/mi/la patterns MOST OF THE TIME and is able to demonstrate the concept of sol/mi/la and matching pitch.
Excellent (E)

Student can ALWAYS sing and read sol/mi/la patterns accurately and ALWAYS match pitch.
