Social Issue Canvas Painting 
Student will create a drawing that is able to communicate a stance or just draw attention to a social issue of their choosing. The imagery chosen should be enough to communicate what the issue is.

Craftsmanship

Finished project displays a high level of neatness, clean lines (if desired), desired texture, and lacks obvious flaws.

Extraordinary

All aspects of the artwork were considered and patiently completed. The finished product is a result of careful, meticulous planning. The craftsmanship is outstanding. Project is pristine and well kept.
Proficient

With a little more effort in finishing techniques, the artwork could be outstanding.
Overall, the project is clean and without major flaws.
Developing

The student showed minimum areas of good craftsmanship. Areas appear careless. Flaws are visible.
Poor

Below average craftsmanship, lack of pride in finished
artwork. Showed little evidence of effort and/or a lack of understanding. Includes obvious flaws.
Effort/Time Management

Used time wisely, project met deadline.

Extraordinary

Great participation in the feedback session. Students used time wisely, project turned in by due date. No distractions.
