Choreography

Movements and music were reflective of one or more cultures and not just strung together...there was a thoughtful purpose for each phrase of movements.

Dancers know the movement extremely well. Confident and don't need to follow anyone else. Dancers have a great sense of timing & direction. Dance is clean and well rehearsed. Transitions are natural and seamless.

Dancers know the movement well. They stay together, and have a good sense of timing & direction. 2-3 mistakes made. Transitions are good.
Fair (level 2)

Dancers somewhat know the movement. Have an ok sense of timing & direction. Made 4-5 mistakes. Transitions are ok.

Dancers are unprepared and unsure of the choreography. Timing or direction is unclear. Made 5-6 mistakes. Transitions are choppy.

Dressed appropriately according to era and style of dance.

All the dancers costumes were appropriate to the era and style of dace. A lot of effort was put into the clothing by all members.

Some of the dancers costumes were appropriate to the era and style of dace. Some effort was put into the clothing.

Few of the dancers costumes were appropriate to the era and style of dace. Little effort was put into the clothing.
