Solar System

Students are expected to write four to five sentences about important facts pertaining to the solar system. It is necessary to include a sentence with answering whether the sun is considered a planet or star. After the writing portion. Students are to write out the planets in order from closest to the sun.

Quality of sentences.	Poor Sentences were not accurate.	Fair Sentences had some false information however were mostly accurate.	Good Sentences identified important information and had one or less error.	Excellent Sentences were all correct and gave accurate and detailed information on the solar system.
Planets are clearly labeled	Poor No labels are present, very difficult to find or read.	Fair Labels are present, but may have been difficult to find or possibly some hard to read.	Good Labels are present and able to read.	Excellent Labels are easily identifiable and read.
Planets are in the correct order	Poor Planets are not in the correct order or many are out of place.	Fair The proportions are close but there are a couple of mistakes.	Good One or two planets are out of order. However easy to read and mostly correct.	Excellent All planets are in the correct order, easy to read and possible colored in.
The sun is a star.	Poor Did not answer this particular question.	Fair Answered the question, however it was incorrect.	Good Answered the question with the correct answer.	Excellent Answered the question and gave concrete detailed statements to support their answer.
