Identifying Beginning Sounds

Students will be given 10 cvc picture cards. They will then be asked to state the beginning sound associated with each picture card.

Beginning

When given a set of 10 cvc picture cards, the student is not able to correctly state the beginning sound of any pictures.
Emerging

When given a set of 10 cvc picture cards, the student is able to correctly state the beginning sound of 1-4 cards.
Developing

When given a set of 10 cvc picture cards, the student is able to correctly state the beginning sound of 5-9 cards.
Mastery

When given a set of 10 cvc picture cards, the student is able to correctly state the beginning sound of all 10 cards.
Identifying Ending Sounds
