Follow Through while shooting at a pin

Correct follow through includes stick being swung with a controlled speed, not exceeding above the knee, with your toes and dominant hand pointing at the target

Needs Improvement

Student swings stick above waist on load up and follow through. Student loses sight of puck and consistently misses the puck while shooting.
Developing

Student is able to keep stick below the waist on the load up or follow through phase of shooting, but not the other. Student sometimes is able to keep their eyes on the puck and makes quality contact on their shot.
Meeting Expectations

Student is able to control their body and stick while shooting, by keeping their blade below their waist on the load up and follow through phases of shooting. Student is able to consistently make contact with their puck and shoot effectively on target each time.

Students able to demonstrate all 3 types of shots appropriately.

Student can demonstrate only one shot effectively with proper shooting mechanics.

Control Dribble

Eyes of student are up while dribbling. Being aware of the target as well as others in their environment. Student also makes quality touches with the blade to puck

Needs Improvement

Dribbled with no control with eyes down entire time. Poor contact to blade, unaware of environment.
Developing

Dribbled with some control. Student was able to look up occasionally while dribbling to check their surroundings. Student made acceptable contact with blade most of the time.
Meeting Expectations

Student is able to dribble with complete control of the puck, consistently looking up for teammates, defenders, and to observe their surroundings. Student makes quality blade-puck connections consistently while dribbling.
Maintain Contact Throughout

Maintain Contact while pushing ball or puck with the face of your stick. Student performs crossover dribble to defend puck while dribbling.

Needs Improvement

Student requires "loose dribbling" consistently in order to be successful
Developing

Student is able to make consistent contact with blade to puck and is able to connect with the face of one side of the stick consistently in controlled dribbling.
Meeting Expectations

Student maintains quality control using both sides of the blade with a crossover dribble in controlled dribbling.
