Rhythms Students will identify, classify, produce, and perform rhythms through listening and clapping.
	Developing 5 pts	Meeting 10 pts	Exceeding 20 pts
Identifying Notes and Rests	Developing Student cannot identify any notes and rests.	Meeting Student is able to identify some notes and rests.	Exceeding Student is able to identify all notes and rests given.
Identifying Note/Beat Patterns Students should be able to identify the note, rest and beats in a given pattern.	Developing Student is unable to say how many counts/beats are in the pattern.	Meeting Student is able to identify some patterns and identify some of the counts/beats in the pattern.	Exceeding Student is able to identify all the patterns and counts independently.
Clapping and singing Performance	Developing Student is unable to clap and sing out any beats.	Meeting Student is able to clap and sing some of the beats.	Exceeding Student is able to clap and sing out the beats without the teacher's help.
