Developing

The essay addresses part of the prompt completely, but some aspects of the prompt are weakly addressed. Mind maps and outline are completed but have little organization of thought. A little reflective thought is demonstrated. All three parts of the essay Introduction, Body and Conclusion are present and some minor transitions of thought are missing. Grammar is acceptable.
Achieving

The essay addresses each part of the prompt completely in good grammar. direct examples from classroom instruction. Mind maps and outline are completed, with organization of thought. The essay clearly demonstrates reflection and growth. All three parts of the essay Introduction, Body and Conclusion are present and have smooth transitions. Grammar is very well done. Some meaningful feedback to the teacher on instructional effectiveness.
Exceptional

The essay addresses each part of the prompt completely. Mind maps and outline are completed and the essay is well thought out and presented with detail and flows smoothly. The student clearly relates what has happened in class to their own changes in understanding. The essay provides meaningful feedback to teachers on instructional effectiveness. Grammar is excellent.
