Car Base	Excellent All edges are cut neatly and the base is symetrical.	Good Most edges are cut neatly and the base is symmetrical.	Fair Some edges are cut neatly and the base is somewhat symetrical.	Poor Few edges are cut neatly and the base is not symetrical.
Wheel and axle	Excellent All wheels and axles are balanced and roll with no resistance. Bushings are used properly.	Good All wheels and axles are somewhat balanced and roll with some resistance. Bushings used, but not properly.	Fair All wheels and axles are not very well balanced , but roll with some resistance. Bushings are not used	Poor All wheels and axles are not at all balanced and roll with great resistance or not at all. Bushings not used
Neatness of assembly	Excellent All pieces fit together well and everything is aligned properly.	Good Most pieces fit together for the most part, but there is some alignment and/or balance issues. Successful mousetrap car	Excellent Mousetrap car travels a straight line at least 30 feet.	Good Mousetrap car travels a straight line at least 25 feet.	Fair Mousetrap car travels a straight line at least 20 feet.	Poor Mousetrap car does not go straight but does reach a 15 foot distance.
