Rhythms Students will identify, classify, produce, and perform rhythms.

Identify a pattern Student identifies pattern being played or clapped and determines how many beats are in the pattern.	Approaching Student is unable to identify pattern being performed and is unable to determine the number of beats in a pattern.	Meeting expectation Student is able to identify which pattern is being performed but cannot determine how many beats are in the pattern.	Occasionally Meeting expectation Student is able to identify pattern being performed and is able to determine the number of counts/beats in the pattern with prompting.	Frequently meeting expectation Student is able to identify pattern being performed and is able to determine the number of counts/beats in the pattern independently.
Notes/Rest Identification Quarter note and Quarter rest Eighth note pairs	Approaching Student is unable to identify a any notes or rests.	Meeting expectation Student is able to identify some notes or rests in a pattern.	Occasionally Meeting expectation Student is able to identify all notes and rests with some prompting.
