Road to Revolution Poster Project

Here is the rubric for your "Road To Revolution". Poster Project Each of the 10 categories is worth a maximum of 10 points with a total max score of 100 points. This is a test grade so be neat, creative, and original! Project is due Monday, Jan. 6 and museum walk presentations will take place Monday, Jan. 6 and Tuesday, Jan. 7.

Content/Accuracy	Good At least five facts are on your poster. All facts are correct and relevant to the subject. All facts are historically accurate.	Fair Has at least five facts but facts may not be relevant to the subject or accurate historically.	Poor Does not have five facts. Facts are not correct and relevant to the subject.
Student Presentation/Knowledge	Good Student displays to teacher that he/she knows the subject material by verbally presenting facts and answering questions about the subject.	Fair Student displays that he knows some knowledge of the subject matter and can answer some questions about the subject.	Poor Student does not know the material on his/her poster and can not answer questions about the subject.
Attractiveness of poster	Good Poster is neat and shows creativity and originality. Facts are displayed separately, spaced out, and can be read without problem. Illustrations/art are clear.	Fair Poster is somewhat sloppy and separation of facts is not clear. Facts and illustrations/art may be loosely attached to the project.	Poor Poster and sloppy and illegible. Facts are not spaced out and some may be missing.
Spelling/Grammar	Good There are no spelling/grammar mistakes on the poster project.	Fair There is one to four spelling/grammar mistakes on the project.	Poor There are numerous spelling/grammar mistakes on the project.
Illustrations/Art	Good Student uses at least three clear printed illustrations or artist renditions of subject. Illustrations/art are relevant to the subject.	Fair Student may have three illustrations/artist renditions but they are not clear and may not be relevant to the subject.	Poor Student has none or less than three illustrations/artist renditions and/or they are not relevant to the subject.
Map	Good Student has a map relating to the subject matter. Map could be where the event happened, where the person lived or was born, or where the act/tax originated. The location of the relevant section of the map is pin-pointed, highlighted or shaded.	Fair Student may have a map but it is not relevant to the subject and is not pin-pointed, highlighted, or shaded.	Poor Student does not have a map.
Title	Good Title is poster is clear, creative, and neat and can be seen from 10 feet away.	Fair Title may not be clear, creative, or neat and is out of focus from 10 feet away.	Poor Title may be missing, misspelled, and/or can't be seen from 10 feet away.
Sources	Good Student uses at least three legitimate sources (other than Wikipedia) and sources are listed either on front side or back side of the poster. Historical books, magazine articles, newspaper articles, and relevant online sources are acceptable.	Fair Student may have three sources or less but they are not legitimate and/or historically relevant to the subject.	Poor Student does not have sources listed or the sources are not appropriate for the subject.
Layout	Good Content on the poster is laid out neatly and is easy to read. Creativity is encouraged but make sure that it is easy to follow content.	Fair Layout may not be neat and content is hard to follow. Project may have been rushed. Take your time and think where you want to put content!	Poor Layout is sloppy and it is hard to follow content.
Mechanics	Good Rubric is attached to the back of the poster and student has hit all of the above components and presented his/her poster to show knowledge of subject matter. Poster is neat, creative, and original.	Fair Student may be missing rubric, some components and may not have shown knowledge of presented subject.	Poor Student is missing rubric, several components and does not display knowledge of the subject matter.
