Cuttlefish Soft Sculpture

Students are to design and sew a soft sculpture cuttlefish toy. They will use good craftsmanship in their choice of materials, and execution of stitches. They will add eyes, tentacles, and embellish the bodies using a combination of stitchery,buttons, yarns and glue.

Sewing and Construction	Assignment not completed Student did not attempt to make a soft toy.	Poor Student made some attempts at sewing with continued teacher guidance. Student started but did not complete a soft toy.	Satisfactory Student grasped the concept of sewing with teacher guidance and was able to make a basic soft toy.There are some gaps or knots showing. Student included minimum amount of parts-ruffle,eyes, tentacles.	Very good Student grasped the concept of correctly sewing stitches with minimal guidance. Student completed a basic toy design with 3 or more parts and extra details. There are slight gaps between stitches.	Excellent Student independently demonstrated an excellent understanding of sewing and completed a well made soft toy. Student included 3 or more parts attached with well formed stitches.They added extra details buttons,tentacles, sequins etc.
