	Good 8 pts	Progressing 6 pts	Developing 4 pts
Beats	Good Student has the correct number of beats	Progressing	Developing Student has the incorrect number of beats.
Use of quarter rest	Good Student uses rests sparingly (no more than 4)	Progressing	Developing Student uses too many rests (5 or more).
End of Song	Good Student ends the song with a long sound or a long sound followed by a rest	Progressing	Developing Student ends the song with a short sound or a short sound followed by a rest.
Patterns	Good Student uses patterns in a musical way. Ex. AB format, Same ending to different phrases	Progressing Student uses patterns without musical thought	Developing Student does not use patterns.
