Use of English	Poor Frequent grammar errors and pronunciation problems. Used L1 on occasions. At times hard to understand.	Fair Some pronunciation problems and uses simple structures to communicate. Nevertheless, the student manages to get their message across.	Good Generally very good with occasional errors which do not affect comprehension.	Excellent Fluent with natural-sounding intonation. Uses a wide variety of expressions and some idioms also. Easy to understand.
Slide Design	Poor Excessive text. Poor choice of font and text sometimes difficult to read. Spelling mistakes.	Fair Too much text on some slides and not all text is easy to read. Some of the slides were uninteresting.	Good Generally high quality. Just one or two small errors of grammar and design.	Excellent Has followed the 3 rules: great images, minimum text and has eliminated all spelling mistakes. Great use of fonts. Very professional.
Public Speaking Skills	Poor Weaving and prowling. Doesn't make eye-contact and doesn't smile.	Fair Nervous and did not look happy. Moved around a lot and didn't smile.	Good Generally very convincing. Showed a little nerves but managed to smile and achieve eye-contact.	Excellent Superb stance: relaxed shoulders and smiling. Eye contact and enthusiastic attitude. Spoke at the appropriate speed.
Teamwork/Personal responsibility	Poor Has contributed little to the project and spoke very little. Has not used class time well. Let other team members do most of the work.	Fair Not very outgoing but managed to find a role within the team.	Good Some difficulty at the beginning but learnt to be more tolerant and to listen. Learnt a lot during the project.	Excellent Excellent team player. Always willing to help, including other teams. Also did not try to impose own ideas.
Peer assessment	Poor Badly organised and boring.	Fair They could have done it better but the basics were there.	Good Pretty good. Interesting topic although sometimes a little slow or dull.	Excellent Great! Really interesting. Great slides.
