How well does the actor avoid blocking him/herself or others?

Poor

No effective blocking is used in the scene by the actor. The actor moves without reason and blocks self and others in the scene/s.
Fair

Actor does not move on cue and lacks any sense of motivation for (reason for) movement.
Good

Actor moves when intended, but the movement is not motivated (or done for a reason clear in the scene).
Excellent

Actor moves when and where s/he is
intended to with clear motivation (reason).
Staging/Composition

How well does the actor/s create pleasing stage compositions/pictures?

Poor

Actor/s does not organize to stage the piece, but rather creates the staging during rehearsals or at the last minute in performance. The blocking is not at all effective.
Fair

Actor/s stages the piece without much thought to character objectives (motives), tactics or stage picture. The scene is chaotic but there is some evidence of blocking.
Good

The actor/s stages the piece with some thought but the stage picture is sometimes muddled or ineffective.
Excellent

Actor/s stages the piece effectively using the principles of blocking. Stage pictures are interesting to watch.
Overall Performance

How well does the actor perform as a solo actor and/or within an ensemble, using all the techniques and tools available to the actor?

Poor

Limited ensemble interaction. Props, costume, and/or set decoration not used as directed.
Fair

Fair ensemble interaction. Some use of props, costume and set decoration.
Good

Good ensemble interaction. Good use of props, costume and set decoration.
