Figure Proportion	Emerging ~ 60-70% Student demonstrates minimal comprehension of figure proportions. 0-1 proportions were measured and painted correctly.	Developing ~ 75-80% Student demonstrates basic comprehension and integration of some figure proportions. 1-2 proportions were measured and painted correctly.	Proficient ~ 85-90% Student demonstrates comprehension and integration of most figure proportions. 2-3 proportions were measured and painted correctly.	Exemplary ~ 95-100% Student demonstrates highly developed comprehension and integration of proper figure proportions. Painting is meticulously planned, measured and painted.
Painting Skill	Emerging ~ 60-70% Student needs to work on controlling paint and preplanning paint application. Muddy colors, ragged edges, lack of texture, drips and/or blobs are evident throughout the painting.	Developing ~ 75-80% Control is somewhat lacking.
