3-D Paper Sculpture 3-D Object Paper Sculpture ~ Learning Goals ~ The students will develop skills in paper sculpture. Create a paper sculpture that follows Peter Callesen's method. The students will learn about different ways to use an exacto knife and manipulate a piece of white paper to create a 3-D representation. Transform a flat sheet of paper into a finished sculpture that uses negative space and 3-D elements. Craftsmanship of Project	Master Craftsman Exceptional care given to the final product created and the equipment and materials used. Management	Master Craftsman Consistently utilized time wisely and effectively. Work turned in complete and on/before due date.	Craftsman Utilized time wisely and effectively. Work turned in complete and on time.	Apprentice Time not manged well. Some work turned in, not necessarily complete but on time.	Novice Majority of time was not used effectively. Creativity & Complexity	Master Craftsman The combination of the visuals on the paper used and the 3-D object(s) made are both very appropriate and very visually dynamic (the sculpture has a variety of dimensions and connects and incorporates the negative space in an interesting way).	Craftsman The combination of the visuals on the paper used and the 3-D object(s) made are both appropriate and visually interesting (the sculpture has dimension and connects to the negative space on the paper).	Apprentice The combination of the visuals on the paper used and the object made are appropriate but lacks visual interest (the sculpture has limited variety and connects somewhat to the negative space on the paper).	Novice The combination of the visuals on the paper used and the object made are either mismatched and/or are uninteresting visually (the sculpture is more flat planes than 3D and/or does not work with the negative space on the paper).
