Although the student may have practiced, the student fidgeted, appeared quite nervous, and/or had little eye contact with the audience. Few, if any, gestures and facial expressions were made while telling the story.

Student was slightly nervous but still established eye contact. The student may, or may not, have gesture or facial expressions but had practiced and planned ahead.

Student was well prepared, was relaxed, and established eye contact with audience. Occasionally student gestured and showed expression while speaking. It was obvious from the ease of the performance that the student had planned and practiced this narrative.

Inaudible - volume was too low.

Audible but inconsistent - loud enough to be heard by all audience members at least 80% of the time.

Audible - loud enough to be heard by all audience members throughout the entire presentation.
