Class Participation

Participation	5 Student wants to participate.	4 Student actively participates, but not in an involved level.	3 Student participates only when prompted.	2 Student participaties at a marginal level.	1 Student does not participate in activities.
Cleanup	5 Student is working above expectation during clean up.	4 Student is working at expection during clean up.	3 Student is not working towad expectation during clean up.	2 Student is working toward expectation during clean up.	1 Student refuses to help clean up work area.
Part/Tool Recognition	5 Student can speaks in proper mechanics terminology and uses the names of the parts and tools in sentences.	4 Student speaks with some knowledge of mechanics terminology and recognizes most of the parts/tools and their names.	3 Student speaks with limited mechanics terminology but recognizes a few of the tools and parts and their names.	2 Student uses words and terms like "twist on" and "that thing" when describing tools /parts and operations.	1 Student student is not engaged in the project and uses no technical terms in discussions.
Safety	5 Student follows all safety rules and encourages safety in shop enviroment.	4 Student follows safety rules for themselves but does not encourage others.	3 Student follows rules when being observed or instructted by teacher.	2 Student follows safety rules with minimul reminders.	1 Student does not follow safety rules or use protective equipment. Dis-Asse prob Sol	5 Student uses logic and inquiry skills to dis-assemble without any damage to tools or object.	4 Student will ask many questions when dis-assembling and needs minimal instructions on procedure.	3 Student is hesitant when posed with a problem. Asks some questions but will become distracted if the dis-assembly is not fluid.	2	1 Student in general, is reluctant to attempt dis-assembly of any portion of the project and is distracting for others to work with.
