Value scales Objective is to try and obtain as smooth a gradation as possible in ten steps from white to black.	Level 4 Student as spent the time attemting to obtain a smooth value gradation from white to black.	Level 3 With a little more effort this would have been A work! Student as spent the time attemting to obtain a smooth value gradation from white to black.	Level 2 Student did the minimum in obtaining a smooth gradation.	Level 1 Value is very compressed to one side or the other.	R No value evident.
Craft Clean hard edge lines, no smudges. coloured values are smooth, solid value fills.	Level 4 Student took the time to obtain near perfect craft. all edges are extremelly hard edge and white spaces do not have smears or smudges. Paint covers are smooth and solid.	Level 3 With a little more effort this would have been level 4 work !Student took the time to obtain near perfect craft. all edges are neate and white spaces may have minimal smears or smudges.	Level 2 Student shows effort in trying to obtain good craft; although there are multiple smudges in the white spaces of the project and although it seems they tried to obtain smooth edges there are quite a few inconsistencies in the colour.	Level 1 Student may be missing project requirements. Very rough craft, lots of smears and smudges in white area. Mounting may be uneven on borders or measurements may be different from side to side.	R Craft is very rough. Many smudges and/or smears. uneven mounting.Incomplete.
