Introduction	Surpassing Creatively and cleverly grabs the attention of the reader. Clearly states the 3 or more attributes to be presented.	Meeting Limited use of grabbing the attention of the reader. States the 3 attributes that will be presented.	Approaching Includes an opening statement. Lists the topic to be presented. No transition statement.	Beginning Very brief introduction with little or no connections to the topic.
Focuses on Topic	Surpassing Clearly states information in an organized manner. Includes more than 3 attributes to be discussed.	Meeting State information in an organized manner. Includes 3 attributes to be discussed.	Approaching Stays on topic and includes less than 3 attributes. The list of examples is limited. Little detail.	Beginning Includes very little information on their hero in the speech.
Conclusion	Surpassing Creatively and clearly restates the topic of the speech while grabbing the reader's attention.	Meeting Limited use of grabbing the attention of the reader.	Approaching Very brief conclusion, stating only one or two sentences relating to the topic.	Beginning Conclusion is limited in how it relates to the topic.
