Poster Grading Criteria
	Good 5 pts	Average 4 pts	Fair 3 pts	Under Average 2 pts	Poor 1 pts
Steps	Good Student's project consists of 10 or more demonstratable steps.	Average Student's project consists of 8-9 demonstratable steps.	Fair Student's project consists of 6-7 demonstratable steps.	Under Average Student's project consists of 4-5 demonstratable steps.	Poor Student's project consists of 3 or less demonstratable steps.
Attractiveness	Good The poster is exceptionally neat. Drawings show effort, fill the space, and are colored. Writing is neat and easily read.	Average The poster is acceptably neat. Drawings show effort but are small, and coloring is neat. Writing is readable.	Fair The poster is neat. Drawings show some effort but are small, and coloring is somewhat messy. Writing is hard to read but still readable.	Under Average The poster is messy. Drawings show little effort. Coloring is somewhat messy or is not done. Writing is messy and hard to read.	Poor The poster is incomplete. Drawings are missing or very messy. No effort is shown. Writing is missing or extremely difficult to read.
Directions	Good Directions on the poster are exceptionally clear and easy to follow.	Average Directions on the poster are clear and easy to follow.	Fair Directions on the poster are somewhat clear and somewhat easy to follow.	Under Average Directions on the poster are NOT clear or easy to follow.	Poor Directions on the poster are incomplete or missing.
Mechanics	Good Capitalization, Punctuation, Grammar, and Spelling are correct throughout the poster.	Average There is 1 error in capitalization, punctuation, grammar, or spelling throughout the poster.	Fair There are 2 errors in capitalization, punctuation, grammar, or spelling throughout the poster.	Under Average There are 3 errors in capitalization, punctuation, grammar, or spelling throughout the poster.	Poor There are 4 or more errors in capitalization, punctuation, grammar, or spelling throughout the poster.
