Coil Clay Project/Construction

Student was to build an attractive clay coil project (vase, bowl, mug, or tiki) 7 + inches in height using tools and appropriate clay techniques. Additional additive, subtractive (carving), and printing techniques are to be used to decorate the object.

Following Directions	Poor No or minimal attempt to follow project directions.	Fair Most of the directions were followed.	Good Project is evidence of excellence in construction techniques.
Craftsmanship	Poor No or little attempt was made to show neatness or attractive design.	Fair Some attempt was made to demonstrate neatness and good craftsmanship.	Good Excellent skills were demonstrated throughout.
Creativeness	Poor Lacks creativity .	Fair Demonstrates some effort in creativeness.	Good The project reflects the effort put into it and is aesthetically pleasing.
Student Citizenship	Poor Student has difficulty following class rules independently. May be non participating or argumentative at times.	Fair Occasionally requires redirection follow rules , do "Do Now" activities, or talk less.	Good Student independently follows class rules and routines.
Work Ethic	Poor Student does minimal amount of work.	Fair Student needs occasional redirection to get on track.	Good Study stays busy doing assigned work and working in sketchbook independently .
