World War II Timeline Poster Rubric

Students will produce a poster highlighting at least 5 key events from World War II on a chronological timeline. Each event must have at least one image and a paragraph explaining the event's importance to the war.

Content	Excellent Timeline has at least 5 events, each with at least one picture and a descriptive paragraph.	Good Timeline has at least 4 events, each with at least one picture and a descriptive paragraph.	Fair Timeline has at least 4 events, with some missing pictures or descriptive paragraphs.	Poor Timeline has 3 or less events with missing pictures and no descriptive paragraphs.
Relevance and Accuracy	Excellent Images, and/or descriptive paragraphs are all relevant and accurate to the chosen events and show high understanding of the content.	Good Images, and/or descriptive paragraphs are mostly relevant and accurate to the chosen events and show basic understanding of the content.	Fair Images, and/or descriptive paragraphs are slightly relevant or inaccurate to the chosen events and show reasonable understanding of the content.	Poor Images, and/or descriptive paragraphs are irrelevant or inaccurate to the chosen events and show lack of understanding of content.
Creativity	Excellent Poster shows creativity through the use of a variety of colors, fonts, images and other visuals.	Good Poster shows creativity through the use of basic colors, fonts, images, or other visuals.	Fair Poster shows lack of creativity through using only colors, fonts, images, or visuals, without use of other capabilities.	Poor Poster shows lack of creativity through missing use of basic colors, fonts, images and visuals.
Grammar/Punctuation	Excellent Descriptive paragraphs and text are free of grammatical and/or punctuation errors.	Good Descriptive paragraphs and text have 1-2 minor grammatical and/or punctuation errors.	Fair Descriptive paragraphs and text have minor grammatical and/or punctuation errors throughout.	Poor Descriptive paragraphs and text have major grammatical and/or punctuation errors throughout.
Chronology	Excellent All 5 events in the timeline are in proper order and labeled by date.	Good At least 4 events in the timeline are in proper order and labeled by date.	Fair At least 4 events in the timeline are in proper order, but they are not labeled by date.	Poor Less than 4 events on the timeline are in proper order or are not labeled by date.
Presentation	Excellent Student is clear, articulate, and knowledgeable in discussing their poster with the class,	Good Student is clear, articulate, and reasonably knowledgeable in discussing their poster with the class.	Fair Student is not clear, unsure, and not prepared to discuss their poster with the class.	Poor Student does not participate in presentation.
