Student consistently catches the netball and while moving.

Can pivot to a new direction and deliver the ball successfully and has excellent positioning.
PROFICIANT

Student usually catches the netball and while on the move.

Student pivots successfully while assessing next passing option.
Shows good control and proper positioning.
SATISFACTORY

Student can catch the netball and sometimes while moving.

Student can pivot and change direction sometimes without stepping.
NOVICE

Student cannot catch the netball often and cannot catch while on the move.

Cannot pivot and change direction without stepping.

Shows limited control and proper positioning.
Shooting

EXPERT

Student shoots the ball demonstrating the correct technique, is balanced and follows through to the ring afterwards.

Student demonstrates excellent accuracy.
PROFICIANT

Student shoots the ball correctly.
and follows through.

Student adopts correct position to shoot from above the head, is well balanced.

Student is usually successful in shooting.
SATISFACTORY

Student can sometimes shoot the ball successfully.

Student sometimes follows through.

Student uses two hands to shoot ball. Seems balanced with ball above eye height.
NOVICE

Student cannot shoot the ball successfully.

Student does not follow through.

Student is off balance or shots the ball from chest level.
Passing

EXPERT

Student passes the ball with precision and accuracy

Student passes so that their teammate can receive the ball with ease.
PROFICIANT

Student passes the ball correctly
and follows through on the pass.

Student usually completes the pass to a teammate
Student usually makes sure their teammate is ready for the pass.
SATISFACTORY

Student can sometimes pass the ball successfully and sometimes follows through on the pass.

Student sometimes makes sure the pass teammate is ready for the ball.
NOVICE

-Student cannot pass the ball successfully and does not follow through on pass.

Student cannot get the pass to teammates
-student does not make sure their teammate is ready for the ball.
Attack and Defence

EXPERT

Student can use both attack and defending skills in the course of the game.

The student intercepts the ball and makes turnovers frequently for their team.
PROFICIANT

Student shows an understanding of the role of attack and gets into good position to receive the ball.

Student can defend a ball from the correct distance and can attempt interceptions.
SATISFACTORY

Student can sometimes run into attack position and receive the ball.

Student can sometimes take up the defending position and intercept a ball.
NOVICE

Student does not show an understanding of attack position to receive the ball.

Student does not run into position to receive a ball and does not defend.
