Proper performance posture	Clear Excellence Student consistently maintains proper posture and instrument position throughout the entire performance.	Satisfactory Student consistently maintains proper posture and instrument position with just a few laps throughout the entire performance.	Good Playing position is good but there are minor errors in hand or finger position.	Needs Improvement Student has no regard for posture and playing position resulting in a poor performance.
Finger technique and fingerings	Clear Excellence Students use correct finger technique and fingering throughout the entire performance.	Satisfactory Student is able to maintain correct finger technique and fingering through most of the performance. Student shows good understanding for what is expected of them.	Good Student's finger technique and fingerings are inconsistent. The student tries but with uneven result.	Needs Improvement Student is not able to maintain correct finger technique and fingering and show little or no progress from previous exam.
Accurate Rhythm	Clear Excellence Student perform all rhythms accurately with steady tempo and pulse throughout the entire performance.	Satisfactory Students perform with mostly accurate rhythms. Tempos are mostly steady with very few mistakes.	Good Student plays with Clear rhythmic mistakes. The tempo and pulse in inconsistent throughout the entire piece.	Needs Improvement Pulse is unstable with major rhythmic errors. Student show very little to no progress from the previous exam.
Note accuracy, performance	Clear Excellence Student perform with all notes accurately. The over all performance is impeccable.	Satisfactory The performance is decent with minor note mistake throughout the performance.	Good Student performs with frequent mistakes with clear indication that more practice is needed.	Needs Improvement Student shows very little understanding of note reading. The performance was poor due to lack of practice, indifference and unwillingness to try.
