Spanish II Writing Rubric
	Excellent 4 pts	Very Good/Good 3 pts	Fair 2 pts	Poor 1 pts
Organization and Content	Excellent 4 or more sentences that clearly relate to the topic	Very Good/Good 3-4 sentences that are basically related to topic or that have minor problems.	Fair 3 sentences that have some structural problems, are hard to understand, or do not really relate to the topic.	Poor Less than 3 sentences which do not relate to the topic or are hard to understand.
Vocabulary	Excellent Vocabulary includes Spanish II studied words and some legend vocab is included. No English is used.	Very Good/Good Vocabulary includes some Spanish II and some Spanish I vocab. Legend vocab is used. No English is used.	Fair Vocab used is mostly Spanish I level. Only 1-2 legend words included. There are 1-2 English words used.	Poor Vocab is basic- Spanish I level. There are few/no legend words used. There are more than 2 English words or other unrecognizable Spanish words used.
Grammar	Excellent Subject + Verb are all correct. Adjectives agree with nouns/pronouns described. No other errors found. Spelling and Mechanics	Excellent Spelling, accents, punctuation, and capitalization are excellent.	Very Good/Good There are 1-2 minor errors with spelling, accents, punctuation, and capitalization.	Fair There are 3-5 errors with spelling, accents, punctuation, and capitalization.	Poor More than 5 mistakes in spelling, accents punctuation, and capitalization.
