Level 4

Student always participates actively and with enthusiasm during skill work. Student treats themselves, others, equipment and facilities with proper respect and follows directions.
Level 3

Student almost always participates actively and with enthusiasm during skill work. Student almost always treats themselves, others, equipment and facilities with proper respect and follows direction.
Level 2

Student sometimes participates actively and with enthusiasm during both skill work. Sometimes follows directions and can sometimes treat themselves, others, equipment and facilities poorly.
Level 1

Student rarely participates actively and with enthusiasm during skill work. Rarely follows directions and treats themselves, others, equipment and facilities poorly.
Fitness Plan

Level 4

Student’s training plan provides balance between strength training and cardio. It includes major muscle groups and uses variety. The plan updates/alters/improves training original plan and provides challenge to the student. The program is clearly related to student’s goals and identifies FITT Principles in the plan. Fitness plan demonstrates appropriate choice of exercises, sets, reps and rest.
Level 3

Student has a very good plan overall. There is a good balance between strength training and cardio. The plan usually includes most major muscle groups are involves some variety. Program clearly relates to goals but does not completely relate to FITT Principles in training plan. The student demonstrates appropriate choice of exercises but the order, sets, reps and rest between exercises is not accurate some of the time.
Level 2

The student has a fitness plan, but there is no balance between cardio and strength training. The fitness plan does not use much variety and the student does not update the plan over the course of the project. The plan does not relate to goals but does include FITT Principles in training plan. The student demonstrates use of sets, reps, rests, but incorrect exercises chosen.
Level 1

No plan. No variety or challenge. Program not related to goals. FITT Principles not applied in training plan.
Fitness Log

Level 4

The student has a written training plan. The student consistently keeps detailed workout records that include notes and comments.
Level 3

The student has a written training plan and usually keeps detailed workout and nutrition log records. The student usually includes notes and comments in logs and are somewhat detailed.
Level 2

Student rarely keeps workout and nutrition log. Entries are lacking any details, or notes.
Level 1

Student never keeps workout.
Evaluations/Reflections

Level 4

The student included pre or post-plan testing in evaulation. They identified strengths and weaknesses of the fitness plan. The student also Included areas of improvement and success. He or she fully explains in detail responses to prompts. Reflection is very analytical. Set new goals if needed.
Level 3

The student included part of pre or post-plan testing in evaluation and identified strengths and weaknesses of the fitness plan. They included areas of improvement and success but did not fully explain in detail responses to prompts. The reflection is analytical and the student set new goals if needed.
Level 2

The student does not reference pre or post-plan testing in his or her evaulation. The student mentions strengths and weaknesses of the fitness plan but did not include areas of improvement or success. The student did not fully explain in detail responses to prompts. The reflection is not analytical and the student did not set new goals.
Level 1

The student does not include any of the testing nor do they analyze fitness. The student fails to provide any insight into success or failures of the project. The student does not set new goals.
