Research Assignment Rubric
	Excellent Done exceedingly well, meets all criteria, and goes above and beyond. 6 pts	Good Does all necessary components. 5 pts	Average Does some of the necessary items, but without product. 4 pts	Fair Does little of the necessary items, that result in something. 3 pts	Below Average Work done adds as much as doing nothing. 2 pts	Poor 1 pts
Research	Excellent Finds at least 3 sources (with proper citations), and uses at least 5 parenthetical citations.	Good Finds at least 1 source (with a proper citaiton), and uses at least 3 parenthetical citations.	Average Finds one source, but it may not be properly cited, may have 1-2 parenthetical citations.	Fair Finds one source, but it is not properly cited, 1 parenthetical.	Below Average May or may not show source found, has 1 parenthetical citation.	Poor No cited work.
Content	Excellent Content is accurate, and includes elaborate detail, which is all relevant.	Good Content is accurate, and includes good detail, which is mostly relevant.	Average Content is fairly accurate, and includes detail, which is somewhat relevant.	Fair Content is fairly accurate, includes some detail, which is not entirely relevant.	Below Average Content is somewhat accurate, and includes enough facts, which is somewhat relevant.	Poor Content exists.
Organization	Excellent Content is organized well in a logical manner, which is easy to read, fluent, and structured.	Good Content is organized, which is readable, fairly fluent, and structured.	Average Content has some organization, but is somewhat difficult to read.	Fair Content has some order, and is somewhat difficult to read.	Below Average Content has some order, while at times is difficult to read.	Poor Content exists.
Style	Excellent Content is appropriate for the audience, the language is used from an excellent selection, and it is appropriate for the topic.	Good Content is appropriate for the audience, the language may not be descriptive enough, and is appropriate for the topic.	Average Content is appropriate for the audience, the language is somewhat descriptive, and is appropriate for the topic.
