State Report: Note Cards Students will record notes on note cards to help organize the information they research for their report.

Notes: Content 40 % 1. Write notes in your own words. 2. Write at least 4 pieces of information on each card.	Excellent Notes are written in your own words. There are at least FOUR things on each card. (must have 2/2)	Good Notes are written in your own words. There are at least FOUR things on each card. (only has 1/2)	Poor Some notes are copied directly from the source. OR There is not enough information on some or all of the cards.
Notes: Sources 40 % 1. You must use at least 2 sources of information (the Internet counts as ONE source). 2. Write where you found your information on the bibliography. 3. Each card is numbered in the upper right hand corner and is titled.	Excellent Two sources are used. The source is written on the bibliography. Cards are numbered and titled. (must have 3/3)	Good Two sources are used. The source is written on the bibliography. Cards are numbered and titled. (has 2/3)	Poor Two sources are used. The source is written on the bibliography. Cards are numbered and titled. (has 0/3 or 1/3)
Notes: Neatness 10 % 1. Write neatly so I can read it and so you can read it! 2. Put your initials on the right side of the top line.	Excellent Notes are recorded and organized in a neat and orderly fashion. AND Your initials are on the right side of the top line.	Good Notes are recorded legibly and are somewhat organized. AND Your initials are on the right side of the top line.	Poor Notes are recorded only with teacher assistance and reminders. OR Your initials are NOT on the right side of the top line.
Notes: Handed in on Time 10 % Note cards will be handed in on or before due date.	Excellent Note cards are handed in early or on time.	Good Note cards are handed in 1 day late.	Poor Note cards are handed in 2 or more days late.
