Construction

No Credit

There are multiple gaps in the mole that my finger will fit into or parts are falling off. More than 3 instructions have been ignored and mole may be missing parts. It is put together in some way other than hand sewn or glued.
Poor

The mole has been either hand sewn or glued in a manner that is mostly consistent with the instructions that were provided (3 directions were not followed). In addition, there is least one gap in the mole that I can fit my pointer finger into. A "mole" has been turned in however.
Fair

The mole has been either hand sewn or glued in a manner that is mostly consistent with the instructions that were provided (2 directions were not followed). In addition, there are no gaps in the mole that I can fit my pointer finger into.
Good

The mole has been either hand sewn or glued in a manner that is mostly consistent with the instructions that were provided (1 direction was not followed). In addition, there are no gaps in the mole that I can fit my pointer finger into.
Excellent

The mole has been either hand sewn or glued in a manner that is perfectly consistent with the instructions that were provided. In addition, there are no gaps in the mole that I can fit my pointer finger into.
Drivers License

No Credit

There is not a license or it is not legible or there are more than 4 missing facts.
Poor

The mole has a drivers license that should have: Name, mass, what is can be used for(purpose), its # of protons, and its birthday (when it was discovered), and valence electrons...but 4 facts are missing. This information is present. It is not very neat but legible.
Fair

The mole has a drivers license that should have: Name, mass, what is can be used for(purpose), its # of protons, and its birthday (when it was discovered), and valence electrons...but 3 facts are missing. This information is present but not very creative. It is legibly done.
Good

The mole has a drivers license that should have: Name, mass, what is can be used for(purpose), its # of protons, and its birthday (when it was discovered), and valence electrons...but 1-2 facts are missing. This information has been presented in a some what creative way. It is neatly done.
Excellent

The mole has a drivers license that details its: Name, mass, what is can be used for(purpose), its # of protons, and its birthday (when it was discovered), and valence electrons. This information has been presented in a creative way. It is very neatly done.
Outfit and Design

No Credit

The mole has no name or a name that has nothing to do with the assigned element, no theme or a theme that has nothing to do with the assigned element, and does not have a prop or has a prop that has nothing to do with the assigned element. OR the student cannot explain what the name, theme, outfit, or props have to do with the assigned element.
Poor

The mole only has one of the following: Name and theme based on the element assigned, an outfit, a prop. The student can successfully explain how the name, theme, outfit and props apply to the assigned element.
Fair

The mole either has an outfit and no props or has props and no outfit. They or may not be hand made. They may or may not be of high quality. The mole has a name that may or may not be related to the assigned element. It may or may not have a clever theme based on the element. The student can successfully explain how the name, theme, outfit and props apply to the assigned element.
Good

There is an outfit and there are props. They are not hand made or they may not be well made by hand. The mole has a name that is related to its element and it may be themed after the element but there is no originality. The student can successfully explain how the name, theme, outfit and props apply to the assigned element.
Excellent

It is obvious that considerable effort has been put into the moles outfit and that there are props. Props and outfit are hand made. The mole's name and theme are clever and based on the element that was assigned. The student can successfully explain how the name, theme, outfit and props apply to the assigned element.
