	Excellent 5 pts	Satisfactory 4 pts	Fair 3 pts	Poor 2 pts
Voice	Excellent Speaks clearly and distinctly all the time. Can be heard easily by all in audience.	Satisfactory Speaks clearly and distinctly most of the time. Can be heard easily at least 90%of the time.	Fair Speaks clearly some of the time. Can be heard at least 80% of the time.	Poor Mumbles often or cannot be understood. Voice is too soft to be heard by all.
Inflection and Pacing	Excellent Uses inflection and pacing effectively to enhance meaning and/or for dramatic impact.	Satisfactory Uses inflection and pacing satisfactorily to enhance meaning and/or for dramatic impact most of the time.	Fair Uses inflection and pacing sporadically (some of the time).	Poor Does not use inflection and pacing.
Pronunciation	Excellent Pronounces all words correctly, like a native speaker.	Satisfactory Makes one pronunciation error.	Fair Makes two pronunciation errors.	Poor Makes three or more pronunciation errors.
Memorization	Excellent The student has memorized the entire text and is able to present it without error.	Satisfactory The student has memorized entire text and is able to present with just one error from which he/she recovers.	Fair The student has memorized entire text and is able to present, however makes three+ errors and doesn't recover.	Poor The student has not memorized the text.
Research	Excellent The student has researched the accent and nuances of the specific regional accent.	Satisfactory The students has researched the accent but has not looked for specific nuances.	Fair The students has researched some information about the regional accent.	Poor The student did not research any information about the accent
