Spelling Word Prompts Students will be shown two words in Spanish and will spell them correctly and fluently. Word 1: Word 2:
	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts
PRONUNCIATION 1 pts	Poor Difficult to understand. Mispronounces letters.	Fair Speaks clearly. Pronounces most letters correctly.	Good Pronounces majority of letters correctly and clearly. No major errors in pronunciation.
FLUENCY 1 pts	Poor Appears that student has not practiced. Hesitates, uses "uh" after letters. Long pauses or refusal to speak. Uses English.	Fair Student has practiced. Little hesitation or use of English. Speech is audible.	Good Student has practiced sufficiently. Recites alphabet in an audible, distinct voice, without any hesitation.
DELIVERY/MEMORIZATION 1 pts	Poor Appears that little or no effort made to learn alphabet. Many alphabet omitted.	Fair Student has practiced but should have put in more time. A few alphabet omitted.	Good Student has practiced sufficiently. Recites alphabet clearly with correct pronunciation.
Spelling Word Dictation Students will hear a word being spelled and write the letters correctly to form the correct word. Word:

Enter Title 1 pts	Poor Student writes nothing or leaves many spaces blank.	Fair Student correctly spells the word with a repetition of the word OR has one error after hearing the spelling once.	Good Student spells the word correctly after hearing the letters once.
