Each Capstone student must include a personal statement of ethics, exhibiting an understanding of personal beliefs, and the impact of the ethical journey.

Personal Ethics Statement
	Ideal (N/A)
Definition and Objective	Ideal Students will define ethics and the place of ethics in the world that they inhabit. They will also discuss the reason for including an ethical statement in the Capstone project.
Ethics and Kohlberg	Ideal Each student will exhibit understanding of Kohlberg's theory of developmental stages and will discuss their own place in the stages, with specific examples to support the choice.
Ethics and Community	Ideal Students will explain how a community with an normally mature ethically developmental culture will look, and how a community at the low end of the developmental scale will be different.
Ethics and the Future	Ideal Students will discuss how the future will challenge their ethical beliefs and behaviors, and what events will likely help them to mature ethically.
Length and Style	Ideal The ethical statement will be no more than one minute, orally, in the presentation, and will be 1 1/2 to 2 pages, 12 pt, font, and double-spaced when written.
Due date	Ideal Students will have the written document in the senior drop box by 6pm Sunday, February 17th.
