I was easily understood by someone accustomed to language learners. I show general control in grammar, word order, and/or word choice. I can be most accurate when I limit myself to strings of simple sentences with some connector words.

I was mostly understood by someone accustomed to language learners. I show emerging control grammar, word order, and/or word choice. I can be most accurate with memorized language. My accuracy decreases when I try to create & express original ideas.

I was understood with some difficulty by someone accustomed to language learners. I show little control in grammar, word order, and/or word choice. I can be most accurate when using memorized words. My accuracy may decrease when I try to communicate beyond the word level.
