Student does not have grasp of information; student cannot answer questions about subject.

Slideshow has at least 6 slides including a title slide and a source slide. Student presented on at least 6 slides.

Slideshow has 5 slides. May or may not have a title slide and a source slide. Student presents on at least 5 slides

Eye Contact

Remember: You should not be reading/saying exactly what is on your slide!

Excellent

Student maintains eye contact with audience, seldom returning to notes.
Good

Student maintains eye contact most of the time but frequently returns to notes.
Fair

Student occasionally uses eye contact, but still reads most of report.
Poor

Student reads all of report with no eye contact.
Presentation and Oral Expression

Excellent

Student uses a clear voice and correct (or clear signing), precise pronunciation of terms so that all audience members can hear presentation.
Good

Student's voice or signing is clear. Student pronounces most words correctly. Most audience members can hear presentation.
Fair

Student's voice is low. Signing space is confusing. Student incorrectly pronounces terms. Audience members have difficulty hearing or seeing presentation.
Poor

Student mumbles, incorrectly pronounces terms, and speaks too quietly for students in the back of class to hear. Same applies with signing in terms of signing space (too small versus appropriate Academic ASL).
Time

Excellent

Student presented for 8 minutes.
Good

Student presented for 6-7 minutes
Fair

Student presented for 5-6 minutes.
Poor

Student presented for less than 5 minutes.
