Student displays little evidence of preparation and researching the character. Answers are historically incorrect.
Fair

Student displays some evidence of preparation; however, it appears to be limited or not historically accurate.
Good

Student shows evidence of preparation and has solid answers to all questions posed to him/her. Student shows at least one visual.
Excellent

Student shows an excellent level of preparation for his/her character. Student uses multiple visuals to illustrate points.
Participation

Poor

Student is present in the fishbowl, but only minimally participates in the conversation; answers to questions are brief and either seem to be incorrect or fabricated without research.
Fair

The student offers some information about his character. The student asks other characters questions, but depth is missing and answers are very basic.
Good

The student offers quality information and thoughts regarding his/her character. The information offered by the student spurs quality conversation amongst the group. Visuals or props are used effectively to communicate.
Excellent

Student is a driving force in the conversation by asking answering and questions with good researched information about his or her own character and getting other fishbowl members to participate by asking questions. Props and visuals are used to enhance communication.
Interaction

Poor

Student does not maintain eye contact with other group members. Student frequently interupts or talks over another student. Student addresses teacher or outer circle for the answer.
Fair

Student exhibits some positive body language to interact with his//her group. Student minimally connects with others, but is not a driving force in the conversation.
Good

Student maintains some positive body language towards other fishbowl memebers. Students usually addresses other group members. Student can converse with the other characters and hold his or her own.
Excellent

Student maintains excellent eye contact with fishbowl members. Student addresses other members of the group specifically. Student respects and welcomes and questions the ideas of other members in their group.
