Windmill

Students will find a picture of a windmill that currently exist, and write a one page paper on how the windmill operates. Students will also build a model of this windmill.

Windmill Picture	Poor Poor quality photo; no color.	Fair Color photo	Good Amazing photograph, highlights windmill in a way that makes it come alive.
Windmill Model	Poor Windmill has poor construction. Cheap and flimsy; a bare minimum effort model	Fair Windmill is nicely constructed and is a close resemblance to the picture, with the exception of a few differences in appearance	Good Windmill is an exact replica of the picture and its construction shows effort and diligence. All the windmills parts are detailed and move as they should. Windmill is accentuated by surrounding scenery (i.e. grass, trees, land, houses, etc.)
Windmill Research	Poor Poorly written report. Grammar and mechanics are weak	Fair Good report which contains several grammar or mechanical errors	Good Great report with little to no grammatical or mechanical errors
