Makes frequent errors in spelling, word choice, punctuation, or usage; extensive sditing is needed.

Makes some errors in spelling, capitalization, punctuation, or usage; a fair amount of editing is needed.
Good

Most writing conventions are used correctly; some editing is needed.
Excellent

Is skilled in most writing conventions; editing is barely necessary.
