Accuracy

This is how accurately items are circled, how legible the handwriting is and amount of correct spelling.

Exceptional

Everything is correctly labeled. Spelling is correct and all writing is legible
Good

Most items are located in correct place (1-2 off).
Spelling is correct and most writing is legible
Average

Some items are located in correct place (3-5 off). Some spelling is incorrect (1-3 wrong) and some writing is legible.
Poor

Few items are located in correct place (6 -8 off)
More than 3 words misspelled and only some of writing is legible.
Unsatisfactory

Incomplete - More than 8 items located incorrectly. No writing is legible and a majority of words are misspelled
Neatness

This involves items such as overall appearance, color/circling, and layout of the map.

Exceptional

Exceptionally neat, Overall appearance is exceptional
Good

Neat with proper use of the two colors. Overall appearance is good.
Average

Fairly neat/Satisfactory,
appearance is fair.
Poor

Somewhat messy with eraser marks or items scibbled out. Colors/ Circling is sparce and overall appearance is okay.
Unsatisfactory

Incomplete and messy. No color use and overall apppearance is poor.
Journal

This includes the completeness of your vocaulary entries in your journal

Exceptional

All words are included, spelled correctly with complete definitions and drawings. Overall layout of journal pages is neat in appearance and easy to read.
Good

All words are included as are definitions. Spelling is mostly complete and definitions are easy to read. Drawings are included.
Average

All words are included but there are some spelling errors. Some drawings are included.
Poor

Some definitions are missing, all words are included. Some definitions are missing drawings.
Unsatisfactory

Incomplete and messy. Definitions are not complete and very hard to read and understand. No drawings
Circle Maps

These points are based on the completion of your two circle maps

Exceptional

Both Circle maps are complete, each section is filled out completely. The cirlce maps are organized and easy to read & follow. Many details are included on form.
Good

Both circle maps have descriptions in each category, but a few details are missing.
Average

Both Circle maps have been attempted, but are somewhat hard to read and understand.
Poor

One cirlce map is complete, but inaccurate. Work is missing detail and is hard to follow.
Unsatisfactory

Incomplete. Both circle maps are missing half the sections. There are substantial inaccuracies.
